what does the NDIS cover for STR?
We know the recent NDIS changes have caused some confusion about what STR includes. Here’s what you need to know:
NDIS funds STR based on your individual plan – This usually covers support, accommodation, and food.
It is NOT a free holiday – STR is designed to support participants with their goals, independence, and respite needs.
The NDIS does not always cover everything – Some extras, like entertainment, entry fees, or personal spending money, may not be included.
